Your precast building, step by step
A precast building is completed in nine steps. We run six of them and three are yours. For each step you will find who works on it, what we need from you and what you receive at the end.
1. First meeting
- Responsible
- Sales and Quotes
teklif@bettonprefabrik.com - Needed from you
- Province and district, use, rough width, length and height. A site plan or architectural drawing if you have one.
- Output
- Whether the building suits a precast system, and a list of missing information.
We ask early about a mezzanine, an overhead crane and roof solar panels; each changes the element sections.
2. Quote file
- Responsible
- Sales · Engineering office
proje@bettonprefabrik.com - Needed from you
- The confirmed details from the first meeting.
- Output
- A referenced quote file.
The design data sheet shows the assumptions behind the quote. The price is based on the concrete volume of the elements and given per m².
In the quote file
1. Erection plan
Grid layout and the code, position and number of every element.
2. Mezzanine and section drawings
Heights, mezzanine beams and floor slabs.
3. 3D view
A visual of your building, produced from your drawing.
4. Design data
Span, height, grid spacing; seismic, soil, snow, wind and solar panel loads.
5. Element list
The type and number of every element.
6. Scope and payment terms
What we do and what stays with you, listed separately.

3. Contract and final data
- Responsible
- Sales · Management
yonetim@bettonprefabrik.com - Needed from you
- Quote approval, payment terms and the final design data in writing.
- Output
- Duration and payment plan.
The overall duration is agreed with you once the quote is accepted and the final design data reach us in writing.
4. Soil report
This step is yours- Responsible
- Client
- Needed from you
- Soil investigation report.
- Output
- Structural design can start.
The quote uses assumed soil values; if the report differs, sections or reinforcement may change and so may the price.
5. Structural design
- Responsible
- Engineering office
proje@bettonprefabrik.com - Needed from you
- Architectural design and soil report.
- Output
- Structural calculations, foundation design and working drawings.
Calculations reflect the seismic and climate conditions of your site.
45working days
From the day we receive the soil report to the structural and foundation design.
Design basis
- TS 500Design of reinforced concrete
- TS 498Design loads for buildings
- TS EN 13369Precast concrete, common rules
- TS 3233Design of prestressed concrete
- PCI Design HandbookPrecast and prestressed design
- TS EN 1991-1-3Snow loads
- TBDY 2018Turkish seismic code
- Drawn by
- Draws the sheet
- Calculations
- Runs the structural design
- Checked by
- Checks drawing and design
- Approved by
- Approves the sheet
6. Permits and foundations
This step is yours- Responsible
- Client
- Needed from you
- Building permit, inspection and approvals; foundations, sockets and tie beams.
- Output
- Foundations ready for erection.
Permits, inspection fees and their charges are outside our scope. Foundations, sockets and tie beams are built by you to our design.
7. Factory production
- Responsible
- Factory and Production
- Needed from you
- Nothing; we keep you informed against the schedule.
- Output
- Elements made to the design, each with a record.
Every pour is logged in BÜTS with element, quantity, person and time; quantities lock at the design count.
| Element | Concrete | Steel |
|---|---|---|
| Prestressed elements | C40/50 | 270K prestressing strand, TSE-approved reinforcing steel and mesh |
| Non-prestressed elements | C30/37 | TSE-approved reinforcing steel and mesh |

8. Delivery and erection
- Responsible
- Factory · erection crew
- Needed from you
- Site access for trucks, a crane pad and finished foundations.
- Output
- An erected structural frame.
Elements are loaded in erection order. The crane and erection are within our scope; days lost to rain, snow or natural disasters are added to the schedule.

9. Finishing works
This step is yours- Responsible
- Client
- Needed from you
- Commissioning the works outside our scope.
- Output
- A building ready for use.
Works that stay with you after erection
- Gutter sealing, downpipes and drainage
- Façade panel joint sealing
- Topping concrete and wet joints in mezzanine buildings
- Paint, stairs, partition walls and joinery

Design data in the quote file
The design data sheet in the quote file has five groups and shows the assumptions behind the quote.
A. Location
- Province and district
- Structural system
- Building class
B. Areas
- Precast frame area
- Mezzanine area
- Façade panel area
C. Frame dimensions
- Width in girder direction
- Length in gutter direction
- Height
- Column spacing, bay width and number
D. Mezzanine and crane
- Mezzanine dimensions and height
- Mezzanine load and position
- Crane load, position and runway beam
E. Seismic and loads
- Ground motion level, soil class
- Importance and occupancy class
- Snow, wind, roofing and solar panel loads
- Roof pitch
When does the quoted price change?
Only if soil values differ from those assumed, if steel, cement, aggregate, strand or mesh prices change before confirmation, or if you add a requirement in writing.
The total concrete volume of the elements is divided by the building area; the result is the price per m².
Frequently asked questions
How long does a precast building take?
It depends on size, mezzanine, when the soil report is ready and when foundations are finished; it is agreed in writing after the quote is accepted. Our first firm deadline is the structural design: 45 working days from the soil report.
Do you build the foundations?
We design them; the client builds them. Sockets, foundations and tie beams are outside our scope.
