Concrete pontoons
A concrete pontoon is the reinforced concrete module that floating jetties and platforms are built from. Modules are joined into a jetty or platform and held by chain-and-block anchors or pile guides.
Applications
- Floating jetties
- Marinas and boat berths
- Floating work platforms
What sizes the module
Module size and hull depth follow deck load, required freeboard, wave and wind conditions and transport limits. In seawater the hull concrete follows the XS classes of TS EN 206; in cold fresh water, freeze-thaw.
