What to consider when selecting hollowcore flooring

Short answer: Hollowcore slab depth is set by span and imposed load together. For a first estimate, use span/35 for residential and office loads and span/30 for warehouse and car park loads; a 40 cm section is a typical starting point for a 12 m span with warehouse loading. Where REI 120 is required, cover and strand position change and a deeper section may be needed. The final section is confirmed by structural calculation.
